We strongly believe that the love of God is developed, nurtured, and properly centered in Christian community. God’s love is understood and grasped more clearly in community with other believers. When three or more believing Christians come together to worship and grow in God, they form what we call a cell group. Cell groups provide the space and place for God’s love to be experienced in tangible and transformative ways by everyone who commits to participating in a weekly cell meeting. Christian community develops and flourishes in cell groups because the cells themselves function as a strategic means by which God establishes and roots the believer in love and in the body of Christ.

You see, the body of Christ is both large and small, especially since the body of Christ exists globally just as it does locally in the individual church congregation. Templo Calvario church cells make up the body of Christ at Templo Calvario just like human biological cells make up the entire human body. TC cells are so important to the spiritual body of Christ at Templo Calvario because they connect people to the entire body of Christ where everyone is built up, strengthened, and empowered to fulfill God’s plan and purpose for their lives.

With growth in the love of God comes spiritual maturity and multiplication. In fact, spiritual growth only comes as a result of growing in God’s love, in one’s own love for God and in one’s love for others. Multiplication is what happens as a natural outgrowth and overflow of the spiritual development. When a believer is firmly rooted in the love of God, that believer inevitably begins to grow in godly Christian character and understanding. With Christian maturity comes a greater realization of God’s purposes and a greater level of obedience to God’s call to make disciples. That is exactly why we at Templo Calvario are so committed to the cell ministry. Cell groups provide the safe and welcoming space to experience God and the power of God’s love in such a way that it leads to spiritual growth and life-long transformation in the life of a committed Christian and his/her community.
