What is COF?

Champion of Faith (COF) is a 7 Step training process with a two-fold approach to fulfilling the Great Commission of making and teaching new disciples. COF focuses on both discipleship and leadership training. While the Champion of Faith process is not the vehicle that we use to win souls, it is what we do at Templo Calvario to nurture, build up and train those who have been won to Christ.

Champion of Faith was established to work hand-in-hand with the cell ministry in developing, instructing and equipping new believers and members of the congregation to grow and mature spiritually. The cell ministry and Champion of Faith together guide each believer to come to the understanding that they also have been called with a purpose and have been equipped to reach and lead others. Each cell leader and cell group at Templo Calvario forms a community around the believer and provides the ground where each individual is cared for, nurtured and given the opportunity to experience God’s love in tangible ways. The Champion of Faith process then trains and equips those believers already attending a cell group and committed to the church, to understand how they too can do for others what someone else has already done for them. Our cell ministry and Champion of Faith process form a partnership that is essential to successfully training the new convert and members of our church to disciple others. We believe that every member of the body of Christ is called to be a witness and empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the command to “make disciples.”
